The Respiratory Care Department at Central Peninsula Hospital provides a comprehensive program of respiratory care and diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients with known or suspected pulmonary (lung) disease or dysfunctions.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a program of education and exercise classes that teaches you about your lungs, how to exercise and do activities with less shortness of breath, and how to live better with your lung condition. The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is a supervised, medically prescribed exercise and education program. In order to join the program, you must have a prescription from your physician. Your physician will continue to provide your primary care throughout the program.
Wound Care
Wound Care is a specialty service Central Peninsula Hospital offers to patients with infected or slow-healing wounds, ostomy difficulties and complicated feet and toenails requiring special care. Our on-site Nurse Practitioner and Wound and Ostomy certified nurses provide you with personal care, treatment and education throughout the healing process to not only help heal your wound, but also teach you how to help yourself heal and avoid problems in the future. Kenai Health Center
Central Peninsula Hospital’s Kenai Health Center was built as a partnership between the hospital, the State of Alaska Division of Public Health, the City of Kenai and the Kenai Peninsula Borough. This collaboration has allowed for expansion of public health services available in Kenai and has created the opportunity for the hospital to offer diagnostic imaging and lab services closer to our friends and neighbors in Kenai. more info…
