The Central Peninsula Behavioral Health Department Intake Office is located in Soldotna at 245 North Binkley Street in Suite 202. Our phone number is 907-714-4521.
Our Behavioral Health Department provides residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment services for individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders.  We also provide mental health counseling services for adults and teenagers who are referred to us from within our provider network.

OVERVIEW OF OUR PROGRAMS

Serenity House Treatment Center is our residential program. Click here for a more complete description.

Serenity Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Programs were developed to provide solid aftercare for individuals who have graduated from our residential program, as well as for individuals who are struggling with less-severe substance use disorder that does not yet call for residential treatment.  Intensive Outpatient is for clients who need 9 or more therapeutic contact hours per week, whereas Outpatient is for clients who require a less intensive degree of therapeutic involvement.

We provide Group Therapy options daily for adults in either of our Outpatient programs, with many different kinds of groups to choose from.  Our clients can select from two Family Group Therapy options, Relapse Prevention Group, Art Therapy for Self-Discovery, Mindfulness Skills, Future’s Planning Group, Interpersonal Skills Group, Seeking Safety (Trauma and Substance Use), and other similar options.  We offer many different group therapy choices so that an individual can select those that will best meet the individual’s personalized goals for Recovery. Along with a wide variety of groups to choose from, clients in our program also receive individual and family counseling sessions, usually on a weekly basis, with a certified mental health and/or chemical dependency counselor.

Our Diamond Willow Adolescent Program offers individual counseling services for adolescents who are struggling with substance abuse.  With certified and trained counselors equipped to treat both substance abuse and any other co-occurring disorders, we love to work with teenagers and their families.  We do not have Residential or Intensive Outpatient services for adolescents at this time.

Our Care Transitions – Detoxification Facility opened with six beds in August of 2017. This inpatient facility was funded with a grant from the State of Alaska. It offers a place where people can be admitted and medically monitored as they experience withdrawal symptoms. Detoxification is a means to an end (recovery) but it is not the end itself. Once detoxification is complete, patients are most likely to be successful if they enter and stay with a treatment plan. This can include residential or intensive outpatient treatment.

Our Mental Health program allows us to see a limited number of adults and/or adolescents for mental health counseling services who are referred to us through our hospital’s physician or clinic network, such as client’s requesting help for depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, or ADHD.
