Therapies
 
*Physical Therapy-Provides service designed to assist patients in achieving and maintaining independence, 
functional mobility and quality of life.  They develop individualized treatment plans which may include exercises, hands-on techniques and equipment to restore function and relieve pain.
 
*Occupational Therapy-provides services designed to assist patients in regaining independence in all areas of their lives.  OT’s help with identifying and assisting with barriers that affect a person’s emotional, social and physical needs.
 
*Speech-Language Pathology-provides specialized services in the areas of cognition, communication and swallowing disorders.  Providing specialized, individual treatment plans to maximize a patient’s functional ability to navigate their home and community environments.
 
*Hand Therapy-focuses on the rehabilitation of the hand and upper extremities for those who have experienced injury, repetitive stress disorders and chronic conditions.
 
*Pediatric Therapy-physical therapy/occupational therapy and speech-language pathology provide family focused, play based therapy individualized for each child who present with developmental challenges.

Donna L. Shirnberg, M.A., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Director, Rehabilitation Services

Donna is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Director Central Peninsula Rehabilitation. She graduated Phi Kappa Phi with a BS and MA from Oklahoma State University. She has been a practicing Speech-Language Pathology for 32 years with 23 years at Central Peninsula Hospital. She was the first full-time SLP hired at CPH, and has had the opportunity to develop and grow the SLP Department. Over the last few years a main focus has been to ensure the growth of the rehabilitation department to meet the growing and ever-changing needs of our community. A focus has been to ensure the department is following all regulatory requirements for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology for all service provisions to remain a viable growing department. Maintaining a competitive presence through continuing education and service provision. Outside of her professional career, Donna is active in the theater.

Stacy Brantley, MPT
Physical Therapist
Supervisor, Rehabilitation Services

Stacy is a licensed physical therapist and supervisor of Central Peninsula Rehabilitation in the Binkley and Marydale locations. Stacy graduated with her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from the University of North Dakota. She has been a physical therapist for 27 years and has worked at Central Peninsula Hospital for 23 years. Her professional interests include outpatient orthopedics, spine, sports medicine and women’s health. Stacy has recently created our women’s health program at CPH. She also organizes several community activities, including high school physicals and ImPACT concussion testing.
