About
Bio
Dr. Bill Kim grew up in Muscatine, Iowa where he was active in sports and an avid outdoorsman. He went to the University of Iowa for both his undergraduate studies and medical school. His Internal Medicine residency was at the LAC-Harbor UCLA Medical Center and Gastroenterology fellowship at the UCLA Center for Health Sciences. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Kim fell in love with Alaska when he first came for a fishing and hunting trip in 2007 with his son. He started his Alaska practice in January 2018 with the Medicenter of Kenai and later the Capstone Clinic of Kenai before joining Central Peninsula Hospital in January 2024.
Dr. Kim’s style of practice is to sit down with his patients and take enough time to thoroughly address their problems. He loves the people and the community of the Kenai Peninsula. He downhill, cross country and backcountry skis, races a Legends car at Twin Cities Raceway, bicycles, golfs, hikes, hunts, loves fishing and has travelled by adventure motorcycle throughout most of Alaska including a ride to Prudhoe Bay in the summer of 2023. He has 2 grown children; Stephen and Lauren who along with their partners love the outdoors and coming to Alaska.
