Aaron Humphreys, MD FAAOS completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado, followed by pursuing both his MD and a PhD in neuroscience at the University of Illinois. Upon obtaining his MD, he completed his residency training in Springfield, IL, at Southern Illinois University. Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and holding fellowship status with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Humphreys has dedicated most of his career to serving small rural communities, including Southern Illinois, Central Montana, West Texas, and Kodiak. Bringing a solid foundation in general orthopedic surgery, he has contributed expertise by providing care for patients with conditions such as arthritic joints, fractures, ligament and tendon injuries, and nerve entrapment. Offering a comprehensive range of services, Dr. Humphreys caters to a diverse patient demographic, delivering various interventions, including fracture care, arthroscopic procedures, and soft-tissue treatments. An avid outdoorsman, his passion led him to undertake the challenging project of rehabilitating a remote cabin. Collaborating with his son, step-son, friends, and family over three years, he gained valuable insights into weather, tides, logistics, and construction, making it a fulfilling project. Kodiak holds special significance as his first home in Alaska. Now based in Soldotna at CPH, Dr. Humphreys is filled with excitement, eagerly anticipating the abundant opportunities the peninsula offers. Grateful and thrilled for the chance to reside in this remarkable locale, he looks forward to providing care to its exceptional community.
