Anna “Anya” Boutwell earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree and completed her education as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She is certified as a Family NP by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Along with primary care clinical services, her practice focuses on health promotion, disease prevention and health education. She is always ready to present patients with helpful information, ideas to stay motivated, and sincere encouragement to achieve wellness goals.
Anya’s special interest is in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Originally from Russia, she has resided in Alaska since 1997 and started her educational path at Kenai Peninsula College. She and her husband Heath are proud parents of two busy boys who love sports and the outdoors. When time permits, she enjoys creative expression in cooking, knitting, photography and mixed media art. “Just for fun,” she participates in mini triathlons and mountain bike races.
