Health Foundation Recognized for Community Service – Archived

SOLDOTNA, AK – Central Peninsula Health Foundation is proud to announce that they are the recipient of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, Alaska Chapter’s (AAFA) Community Service Award.

The AAFA Board of Directors nominated the health foundation in recognition of its many years of serving Alaskans living with asthma, allergies and other health conditions. Dale Knutsen, Executive Director of the AAFA- Alaska Chapter adds, “We applaud the health foundations mission of providing resources for the health and wellness of the Kenai Borough community through a large variety of programs and partnerships. We thank them for their years of dedicated service to Alaskans on the Kenai Peninsula.”

Kathy Gensel, Director of the Central Peninsula Health responded, “On behalf of the Health Foundation’s Board of Directors, I thank AAFA for their recognition of our efforts to support the health and wellness of the Kenai Peninsula community. We are very excited to receive this award.”

Mrs. Gensel will attend the keynote dinner to personally receive the award on behalf of the Foundation at the ninth annual AAFA conference in Girdwood, Alaska on September 5th.
