David Eilender, MD

Dana Oswald, MSN, APRN

Dana Lynn Oswald is a distinguished board-certified oncology nurse practitioner boasting over two decades of experience in critical care nursing. Her journey in healthcare began in 2002, driven by a profound desire to aid others, a calling she sees as her life’s purpose. Her extensive background spans various specialties, including pulmonary, cardiology, and neurology care, as well as providing compassionate end-of-life support in Michigan. more> (To match the Doctors profiles, please end her bio here on the first page, and create a new page with her remaining info.)

In 2017, Oswald expanded her clinical expertise by becoming a Nurse Practitioner, choosing to specialize in Oncology. This field, she finds, offers an enriching and fulfilling opportunity to foster deeper connections with patients and their families, allowing her a privileged glimpse into the more intimate aspects of their lives. Her approach as an Oncology NP is to administer quality cancer care and inspire hope. She is committed to employing evidence-based practices to prevent, treat, and potentially cure cancer, aiming to alter the disease’s course and enhance patients’ quality of life through comprehensive support.

Oswald’s medical career, spanning over 27 years, is marked by a dedication to making a significant difference in the lives of those battling cancer. By collaborating with other healthcare providers, she ensures that patients receive compassionate, culturally sensitive, and professional care. Her move to Alaska reflects her passion for her profession and personal interests. Embracing the rural community, she is excited to contribute to its growth and provide state-of-the-art medical care.

Outside of her professional life, Oswald enjoys Alaska’s natural beauty, hiking, fishing, and experiencing the awe-inspiring sights of moose, the Northern Lights, bears, and the thrill of catching her first Halibut. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio, and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Spring Arbor University in Jackson, Michigan, where she achieved her Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Dana is Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certified. She is a proud member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Oncology Nursing Society.
