Jason A. Lattin, MD, FACS is a board certified General Surgeon at Central Peninsula Surgical Associates. He joined Central Peninsula Hospital in April 2011. He received his undergraduate degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington, in Seattle, Washington. The University of Washington is also where he completed medical school. He then went on to the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon, where he completed his surgical residency. It was there he was elected as the “Best Surgery Resident” by resident peers as chief resident. He was certified by the American Board of Surgery in 2008 and elected as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 2011. Prior to relocating to Soldotna, Dr. Lattin served with Samaritan’s Purse in South Asia for two years. He enjoys hiking, climbing, fishing and enjoying Alaska with his family. David King, MD, FACS is a board certified General Surgeon at Central Peninsula Surgical Associates. He grew up in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga School of Engineering. For approximately five years following completion of his undergraduate education, he held an engineering position at a Stuart Draft, Virginia manufacturing facility. Subsequently, he enrolled in the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in southern California. Next, he trained in general surgery at Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He has been in private practice in Maine and Tennessee before moving to Alaska. He enjoys visiting with family, traveling, motorcycling, snow machining and fishing in his leisure time. Gregory Hough, MD, FACS is a board certified General Surgeon at Central Peninsula Surgical Associates. He earned his BA in Biology from the University of Texas, Austin in 1998 and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston in 2003. Dr. Hough completed his General Surgery Internship and Residency with Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi and another Residency at the Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio.
Karen is the receptionist at Central Peninsula Surgical Associates. She has worked here since 2012. After 14 years working for a Credit Union, she decided on a career change. Karen spent two and a half years working at a family practice before coming to CPSA. She was born and raised in Soldotna, and she has raised her son here as well because she believes we live in an amazing community. She really enjoys working at CPSA because she gets to work with amazing people within a great department. Karen says she likes being part of a team that helps patients get the care they need. Karen and her family are avid NASCAR devotees, and love to go to races when they can for their family vacations!
