SUMMARY:Diabetes Type 1 Meet Up
DESCRIPTION:Who? \nAdults in the Central Peninsula Community who live with Type 1 Diabetes and are interested in building connections and having meaningful conversation with others living with T1D. \nWhat? \nThis is an in-person gathering facilitated by Central Peninsula Diabetes Center to build a supportive community for adults experiencing T1D. No need to sign up – simply show up and start building connections with others living with T1D. \nWhere? \nGatherings take place in the Kenai Room of Central Peninsula Hospital’s River Tower. Check the Central Peninsula Diabetes Center’s website for posted dates and times. \nWhen? \nMeet ups take place every other month\, less formal meet-ups are encouraged in the off months as desired by group members. \nWhy? \nIt can be hard to find and connect with others experiencing Type 1 Diabetes\, especially as an adult. At CPDC we desire to foster community and connections for those living with T1D. \n  \nMeetings are held in the Kenai Room\, on the 3rd floor of the River Tower on the Central Peninsula Hospital campus at 250 Hospital Place\, Soldotna. DESCRIPTION:Central Peninsula Hospital welcomes representatives from the Alaska Department of Health\, Division of Public Assistance (DPA) to provide convenient\, in-person assistance to our community. \nDPA representatives will be available on the third Thursday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Borealis Conference Room (next to the cafeteria). \nDuring these visits\, DPA representatives can: \n\nAnswer general questions about public assistance programs\nAssist with applications\, renewals\, and other paperwork\nConduct onsite interviews\nProvide case updates\nMeet with clients on a first-come\, first-served basis\n\nBecause space is limited\, individuals are encouraged to arrive early. A sign-up sheet will be available near the Admissions waiting area\, before entering the cafeteria. \nIf you are seeking assistance\, please bring any relevant documentation you may have\, such as applications or renewal forms\, proof of income\, proof of expenses\, and identification. \nThese monthly visits are open to patients\, visitors\, employees\, and community members seeking information or assistance with DPA services. \nFor additional information about available programs and services\, visit the Alaska Department of Health Division of Public Assistance website.
