DESCRIPTION:Central Peninsula Kenai Health Center Celebrates\nExpanded Services with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony\nJoin us for a Ribbon Cutting Celebration at the Centra Peninsula Kenai Health Center\, located at 630 Barnacle Way in Kenai celebrating the expansion of services at the Kenai Health Center\, including the return of laboratory draw services and the restoration of mammography screening to Kenai for the first time in eight years. Bone density (DEXA) screening is also now available at the facility. \nLight refreshments will be served following the ceremony. \nThe return of mammography services represents a significant milestone for healthcare access in the Kenai community. For nearly a decade\, women seeking mammography services have had to travel outside of Kenai for screening exams. On July 1st\, those services will once again be available closer to home for many.\nThis restoration was made possible through a partnership between Central Peninsula Hospital\, the Central Peninsula Health Foundation\, and the generous support of the Kenai Peninsula community. \nIn addition to mammography and DEXA bone density screening\, laboratory draw services have returned to the Kenai Health Center after being unavailable since last fall.\nPatients can once again access routine laboratory services locally rather than traveling to Soldotna. \nThe Central Peninsula Kenai Health Center now offers: \n• Laboratory Draw Services\n• Screening Mammography\n• DEXA Bone Density Screening \nScreening mammograms are available without a provider order\, although patients must have a physician on file to receive results. Bone density studies require a provider order. DESCRIPTION:Who? \nAdults in the Central Peninsula Community who live with Type 1 Diabetes and are interested in building connections and having meaningful conversation with others living with T1D. \nWhat? \nThis is an in-person gathering facilitated by Central Peninsula Diabetes Center to build a supportive community for adults experiencing T1D. No need to sign up – simply show up and start building connections with others living with T1D. \nWhere? \nGatherings take place in the Kenai Room of Central Peninsula Hospital’s River Tower. Check the Central Peninsula Diabetes Center’s website for posted dates and times. \nWhen? \nMeet ups take place every other month\, less formal meet-ups are encouraged in the off months as desired by group members. \nWhy? \nIt can be hard to find and connect with others experiencing Type 1 Diabetes\, especially as an adult. At CPDC we desire to foster community and connections for those living with T1D. \n  \nMeetings are held in the Kenai Room\, on the 3rd floor of the River Tower on the Central Peninsula Hospital campus at 250 Hospital Place\, Soldotna.
