Each year\, we come together to ensure our hospital has the resources needed to provide the highest level of care to every patient who walks through our doors. \nThis year\, An Evening by the River is dedicated to something that will make a lasting difference in the lives of our community members: a new\, state-of-the-art mammography machine. \nThis advanced equipment will replace our current unit and allow us to expand access by relocating our existing machine to our Kenai clinic. With two locations offering mammography services\, more women across the Central Peninsula will have convenient access to lifesaving screenings—close to home\, when they need them most. \nBecause when it comes to breast cancer\, early detection saves lives. \nBehind every statistic is a real person: \na mother\, a daughter\, a sister\, a friend\, a neighbor. \nWhy This Matters \nBreast cancer touches nearly every family. About 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. \nOn the Kenai Peninsula\, only 49% of women over age 40 currently receive regular screenings—one of the lowest rates in the state. \nWhen breast cancer is detected early\, survival rates can be as high as 99%. \nThese numbers tell an important story: access matters. Awareness matters. And early detection saves lives. \nBy expanding mammography services in our region\, we can help remove barriers\, improve screening rates\, and ensure more women receive timely care. \nYour Impact \nWhen you support this campaign\, you are doing more than funding medical equipment. \nYou are helping provide: \nEasier access to screenings \nEarlier diagnoses \nGreater peace of mind \nMore time with loved ones \nYour generosity helps ensure that women in our community can receive high-quality\, compassionate care—without having to travel far from home. \nIn many cases\, your support will help save lives. \nThank You for Making a Difference \nOn behalf of Central Peninsula Hospital\, our dedicated staff\, and the patients we serve\, thank you for standing with us in this important mission. \nThank you for believing in early detection. \nThank you for supporting expanded access to care. \nAnd thank you for helping us build a healthier future for our community. \n \nBringing Comfort to MRI Patients with a Video System \nAn MRI scan can be an overwhelming experience—claustrophobia\, loud noises\, and the stress of the procedure itself can make it difficult for patients to remain still\, leading to discomfort and potential scan interruptions. \nTo help ease anxiety and improve the overall experience\, we are fundraising for an advanced MRI Video System for both of our MRI suites. This innovative technology from MRIaudio allows patients to watch calming videos during their scan\, creating a more relaxing environment while enhancing scan efficiency. \nFor children\, individuals with anxiety\, or those requiring frequent imaging\, this system can make all the difference—turning a stressful procedure into one that feels far more manageable. \nWith your support\, we can provide a more comfortable MRI experience for every patient at Central Peninsula Hospital. Together\, we can make a difference in how care is delivered. \n \nHelping Patients Regain Strength and Independence \nRecovery is more than healing—it’s about rebuilding strength\, confidence\, and the ability to move freely again. For many patients\, regaining mobility after an injury\, illness\, or neurological event can be an uphill battle. \nTo support their journey\, we are raising funds for the PhysioGait 360 Dynamic Unweighting System—a state-of-the-art rehabilitation tool that provides safe\, dynamic support as patients relearn to walk\, improve balance\, and build confidence. Unlike traditional rehab methods\, this system adapts to each patient’s needs\, reducing the risk of falls and making therapy more effective. \nFrom stroke survivors to those recovering from spinal cord injuries or surgery\, this technology offers life-changing benefits—helping patients take meaningful steps toward mobility\, independence\, and a better quality of life. \nYour generosity will bring this breakthrough rehabilitation system to our hospital\, empowering patients on their road to recovery. Together\, we can help them move forward—one step at a time. \n \nEnsuring Safe\, Life-Saving Care with an MRI-Safe Transport Ventilator \nAt Central Peninsula Hospital\, we are committed to providing the highest level of care for every patient—especially those in critical condition. For patients who rely on a ventilator to breathe\, uninterrupted respiratory support is essential. However\, transporting these patients safely throughout the hospital\, including to the MRI suite\, presents a significant challenge. \nCurrently\, we do not have an MRI-compatible transport ventilator\, meaning critically ill patients must either have their scans delayed or be manually ventilated during transport—both of which can pose risks to their safety and comfort. Manual ventilation increases the chance of complications\, while delays in imaging can postpone vital diagnoses and treatments. \nWith your support\, we can change that. By adding an MRI-safe transport ventilator\, we can ensure that patients of all ages—whether newborns\, trauma victims\, or those battling severe illness—receive continuous\, life-saving respiratory support wherever they need to go within our facility. This advanced ventilator will provide seamless\, uninterrupted care\, reducing risks and improving outcomes for our most vulnerable patients. \nYour generosity can make a life-saving difference. Together\, we can ensure every patient receives the safest\, most advanced care possible—when it matters most. \n  \n \nGiving Newborns the Healthiest Start \nEvery baby deserves the best possible start in life\, and at Central Peninsula Hospital\, we are dedicated to providing the highest level of care for newborns and their families. One essential part of that care is monitoring jaundice\, a common condition in the first days of life that requires close attention. \nTo enhance newborn care\, we are raising funds for two Transcutaneous Bilirubin (TcB) Meters—one for Kenai Family Practice and one for Soldotna Family Practice. These handheld\, non-invasive devices allow doctors to quickly and painlessly check a newborn’s bilirubin levels using light instead of a traditional blood draw. By eliminating the need for a hospital visit\, these meters reduce stress for parents and discomfort for babies while ensuring early detection and treatment. \nEquipping our family practices with this technology means fewer unnecessary blood tests\, faster results\, and better outcomes for newborns. To maintain their accuracy and reliability\, we must also invest in essential service agreements and warranties. \nWith your support\, we can provide newborns and their families with the very best care—right from the start. \nThank You to our corporate Sponsors\nPlatinum Sponsors \n \nGold Sponsors \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nSilver Sponsors \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nBronze Sponsors \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nBrian and Linda Krohn \nWarren\, Agnus & Nicole \n \n \n \n \n-Friend-
