Rick Davis, Chief Executive Officer
Our CEO, Rick Davis, is a twenty-three year veteran of the Alaska hospital industry. Mr. Davis began his Health Care career at Providence Hospital in Anchorage in 1992, moving to Alaska Regional Hospital in 1996 where he held the title of Chief Operating Officer until 2011. He joined Central Peninsula Hospital in July of 2011 to become the Chief Operating Officer before taking over the CEO role in November 2011. Rick holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a double major in Finance and Business Economics from Boise State University, where he graduated cum laude. Rick is a pilot and airplane owner; and he and his wife Terry, a registered nurse, enjoy the Alaska life style, spending time outdoors at every opportunity.
Shaun Keef, Chief Operating Officer
Shaun Keef began service as the Chief Operating Officer for Central Peninsula Hospital In January 2018. Shaun has more than 23 years of experience working in both the profit and non-profit side of healthcare as a CFO and CEO for organizations in Kansas, Oklahoma and Alaska. Mr. Keef earned two Bachelors of Science degrees in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University, majoring in both Accounting and Finance. He also completed his pre-medicine requirements, and successfully earned seats at three medical schools before deciding to continue to pursue the healthcare administrative career path. He earned his MBA through Davenport University in Grand Rapids, MI, and is a CPA Candidate, eligible to sit for the CPA Exam. Shaun is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), National Society of Leadership and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Paul G. Morris, Chief Financial Officer
Paul joined Central Peninsula Hospital as the Chief Financial Officer in January 2020. He has been in healthcare for over 30 years, working in a variety of organizations which include both non-profit and for-profit. His previous experience includes working in public accounting, nursing homes and various sized hospitals. His career has taken him from Alaska, Utah, Texas, and the Carolinas. Paul earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Services Administration at Alaska Pacific University in 2009.
Karen Scoggins, Chief Nursing Officer
Karen joined our team in 2014 bringing over 25 years of healthcare experience. Scoggins comes to CPH from Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire where she was the CNO for the 200 bed hospital. She was responsible for operation and oversight of Inpatient Nursing, Emergency Services, Behavioral Health and Cardiovascular services. Karen earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Nursing as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, all from the University of New Hampshire. In addition, she holds certifications in Nurse Executive – Board Certified (NE-BC) and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
