Respiratory Care Services

The Respiratory Care Department at Central Peninsula Hospital provides a comprehensive program of respiratory care and diagnostic services to both inpatients andoxygen.png outpatients with known or suspected pulmonary (lung) disease or dysfunctions.  Our professionally trained staff consists of registered respiratory therapists, cardiac sonographers and polysomnographers.  Each patient receives an individualized plan of care geared towards health management skills to promote a healthier lifestyle.  Our staff understands that education plays a crucial role in the patient's recovery and is dedicated to improving their health.

Our highly skilled technicians perform a range of specific tests to assist your physician to diagnose and facilitate the monitoring and treatment of your illness. These tests and services include:

  • 12-lead EKGs (electrocardiograms)  
  • 24-hour Blood Pressure or 48-hour Holter Monitoring
  • Cardiac Event monitoring
  • Cardiac Stress Tests
  • Echocardiograms
  • Electroencephalograms (EEGs)
  • Pulmonary Function Studies
  • Tobacco cessation consults/classes
