of Healthcare Organizations, JCAHO. That means that we voluntarily
submit to evaluations of our compliance with nationwide hospital
standards on a continuing basis. Joint Commission accreditation is your
assurance that Central Peninsula General Hospital practices continuous
quality monitoring to provide you with quality health care.

Ownership
Central Peninsula
General Hospital is a Borough-owned, non-profit facility operated by a
corporation, Central Peninsula General Hospital, Inc. located in
Soldotna, Alaska. The Hospital is administered by CPGH, Inc. and
operates through a Lease and Operating Agreement with the Kenai
Peninsula Borough.
The Hospital
is a non-profit entity, organized exclusively for charitable,
educational and scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501
(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The not-for-profit status ensures
that all financial resources, after operating expenses are paid, are
committed to improving technology, patient services, and the facility.
Governance
A ten-member
volunteer Board of Directors, comprised of a cross-section of
professional, business, and community-active leaders, govern the
Hospital.
Board Members must be at least 19 years old and be a resident of the
Central Kenai Peninsula Borough Hospital Service Area of the Kenai
Peninsula Borough.
