Allegations of Abuse at Heritage Place Unconfirmed - Archived
Soldotna, AK – The Soldotna Police Department, in conjunction with the leadership team at Heritage Place, has completed its investigation into the anonymous allegations of sexual abuse brought to their attention on Thursday, February 2, 2012 via a social media site.
“After a thorough review of records and interviews conducted with residents, families and staff, no evidence was found to substantiate the allegations of abuse,” stated spokesperson Bonnie Nichols.
Heritage Place Administrator Charlie Franz added, “We want to remind the community that we take the safety of our residents and the quality of care provided by our staff very seriously. We have used this situation to remind our staff of the many avenues they have available to confidentially report ethical issues and concerns”.
Nichols added, “We provide several avenues for the public to report concerns about patients and residents and they are listed below”.
