 Accreditation
Central Peninsula Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, JCAHO. That means that we voluntarily submit to evaluations of our compliance with nationwide hospital standards on a continuing basis. Joint Commission accreditation is your assurance that Central Peninsula Hospital practices continuous quality monitoring to provide you with quality health care.

Ownership 
Central Peninsula Hospital is a borough-owned, non-profit facility operated by a corporation, Central Peninsula General Hospital, Inc. (CPGH,Inc.) located in Soldotna, Alaska. The Hospital is administered by CPGH, Inc. and operates through a Lease and Operating Agreement with the Kenai Peninsula Borough.
   
The Hospital is a non-profit entity, organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The not-for-profit status ensures that all financial resources, after operating expenses are paid, are committed to improving technology, patient services, and the facility.
 
Governance
A eleven-member volunteer Board of Directors, comprised of a cross-section of professional, business, and community-active leaders, govern the hospital.  Board Members must be at least 19 years old and be a resident of the Central Kenai Peninsula Borough Hospital Service Area of the Kenai Peninsula Borough. Board meetings are held on the last Thursday of every month at 4:30pm - 7:00pm in the Denali Conference Room at Central Peninsula Hospital.  The meetings are open to the public.
