Meet the CPH Executive Team

The current CPH Executive Team includes the following members:

 

   

Rick Davis, Chief Executive Officer

Our CEO, Rick Davis, is a twenty-two year veteran of the Alaska hospital industry. Mr. Davis began his Health Care career at Providence Hospital in Anchorage in 1992, moving to Alaska Regional Hospital in 1996 where he held the title of Chief Operating Officer until 2011.  He joined Central Peninsula Hospital in July of 2011 to become the Chief Operating Officer before taking over the CEO role in November 2011. Rick holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a double major in Finance and Business Economics from Boise State University, where he graduated cum laude. Rick is a pilot and airplane owner; and he and his wife Terry, a registered nurse, enjoy the Alaska life style, spending time outdoors at every opportunity.

     
   

Matt Dammeyer, Ph.D., Chief Operating Officer

Matt Dammeyer accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer in 2012.  He has worked at CPH since 2003, having served as the hospital Assistant Administrator, Director of Behavioral Health, and a Senior Psychologist.  Prior to joining the organization, he served as the Clinical Director at a community mental health center.  He has worked as a staff psychologist and also owned a private practice. Dr. Dammeyer earned a B.A., magna cum laude from the University of Colorado - Boulder with a double major in Psychology and Religious Studies. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wyoming, and completed his doctoral internship at the Medical University of South Carolina - Charleston.

     
   

Lance Spindler, Chief Financial Officer

Lance Spindler joined our team in 2014 bringing with him over 30 years of healthcare experience throughout the western US.  He has worked for several for-profit and not-for-profit healthcare hospitals as well as other healthcare organizations.  Prior to joining Central Peninsula Hospital, Lance held a similar position with Boulder City Hospital, a rural hospital in southern Nevada.  Lance holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with majors in Financial Administration and Management as well as a Master’s in Business Administration, all from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  He has taught graduate business courses for several universities and colleges, including the University of San Francisco and Golden Gate University.  He and his wife, Taryn enjoy hiking, fishing, boating, and a number of other outdoor activities.
