Welcome to Central Peninsula Hospital!
Our goal is to make sure you get the best possible care and you get back home as quickly as possible. Our physicians, nurses, therapists, technicians, and many others are dedicated to making your stay with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
Visitors can be good medicine for patients. Family members and friends are welcome to visit. Patient care is our primary concern at CPH and, in order to enhance the quality of care, visiting hours are flexible and are based on the needs and expressed wishes of the patient. To protect patients from illness, relatives and friends with colds, the flu, or other respiratory infections are discouraged from visiting. Patients in isolation have special needs and considerations. Visitors must check with a nurse before entering a patient room. Dads, grandparents and siblings are welcome to visit the Family Birth Center at anytime.
Parking for patients and visitors is available at the main entrance of the hospital. Parking is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All parking at CPH is free. Patients and visitors are cautioned not to park in reserved areas or certain designated areas. Please be sure to lock your car.
Cook Inlet Cafeteria: Meals are available in the Cook Inlet Cafeteria located on the first floor at the main entrance. Hot entrees, fruit, and cereal are available for breakfast; hot entrees, sandwiches, grill items, salad bar and soup are available for lunch and dinner. Cafeteria hours are 7:00 am to 6:00 pm daily.
Brewed Awakenings Coffee Shop: Espresso is available at the Brewed Awakenings Coffee Shop located at the Mountain Tower main entrance across from the Care Package Gift Shop. Hot and cold espresso and non-caffeinated beverages are available. Espresso Bar hours are: 6:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
An assortment of vending food items are located in the hallway off the dining area. They are available 24 hours a day.
Gifts for Patients
Visitors should check with the nurse before bringing gifts of food or drink to patients. Please check with the nurse to make sure your gift is appropriate as there may be restrictions. Latex balloons are not permitted in the hospital as many people have allergies to latex. Mylar balloons are fine. The Care Package gift shop has an assortment of cards, gifts, and toiletries.
Family Lounge Areas
There are specially designated lounge areas for visitors. Specific areas have been designated for families of patients on the Medical Surgical floor that includes a family kitchen area and a game area for children (unsupervised). The Surgery family lounge is located on the main floor in the Mountain Tower. The family lounge areas for the Emergency Department and Obstetrics are located near the departments in the River Pavilion.

It is important to us that you are satisfied with the quality of care and services you receive while you are a patient at Central Peninsula Hospital. Please give us the opportunity to resolve any problems that may arise during your stay. If you have any questions or problems that have not been answered to your satisfaction or if you have a special need, tell your nurse or call 714- 4780 to report your concerns.
