Planetree is an internationally recognized non-profit organization whose philosophy is based on a simple premise: care should be organized first and foremost around the needs of patients. The Planetree Designation Program is the only program to formally recognize excellence in patient- and person-centered care. It converts the aspirational aim of becoming more “patient-centered” into actionable, attainable and sustainable practices. To learn more about Planetree, please visit www.planetree.org

What to Expect

In most cases, you will have an initial consultation before your procedure. During this visit, Dr. Lattin will review your previous medical records, test results and/or X-rays. Additional tests may be ordered if needed. He will then explain the procedure to you and answer any questions you may have. You will be provided with pre-surgery instructions, and our friendly staff will assist you in scheduling your procedure.

Prior to your surgery, Dr. Lattin will stop in to say hello and answer any last-minute questions you may have. He will also check on you after your surgery. A follow-up visit may be scheduled.

Once you are discharged from the hospital, you will be under your primary physician’s care. However, our involvement doesn’t end there — our registered nurse will call to see how you are doing and act as a liaison between your doctor and the hospital.
