CPGH, Inc Welcomes Back Rick Ross - Appoints New
Non-Voting Member and Seeks to Fill One Open Seat.

Mr. Rick Ross of Kenai, was seated as a new director on the CPGH, Inc. Operating Board, filling a vacant seat at the June 30, 2007, CPGH, Inc. meeting.

Ross is a life-long resident of the area and served as a director on the board from October 2003 to December 2005.  He has been employed as the Chief of Police and City Manager of Kenai and has served on the Kenai City Council.

“I have a strong interest in the hospital as my family was one of many that actively promoted its inception.  My wife Gayle was an RN at the hospital for more than 20 years and now volunteers there.  We have used hospital services as have our sons and grandchildren, and I have previously served on the board and the strategic planning committee.   I believe we are entering a challenging and rewarding period of history that I want to be part of, “said Ross.

In action taken at the July 26, 2007 Board of Directors meeting, Resolutions 2007-98, 99 and 100 were passed amending the CPGH, Inc. Bylaws to add a non-voting member to the board and appointing John Hoyt as a non-voting member of the CPGH, Inc. Board of Directors.

“The board is grateful for the dedication and service of John Hoyt, who most recently acted as the secretary/treasurer of the board, and served from September 2002 until June 2007.  Mr. Hoyt is taking a new position with Wells Fargo in Anchorage and was appointed to the new, non-voting seat based on his special expertise in banking and financial services, and his executive level managerial experience in the private sector,” said CPGH, Inc. president, Loretta Flanders.

One more seat on the board remains vacant.   The seat was previously held by Steve Hoogland, who resigned before being transferred by his company out of state.

“Mr. Hoogland was appointed in January 2000 and served through April 2007.  We appreciate the work Steve did in chairing the quality committee and his work on the capital committee, that has been overseeing the hospital expansion,” said Flanders.

The application process closes on August 3rd for the open board seat.  Interested parties may contact Terri Nettles at 714-4721 or go to the hospital website at www.cpgh.org for more information.
