Piscatella has been asked by more than 1000 hospitals to speak
in their communities about improving community health and now this
engaging and informative speaker is coming to the Kenai Peninsula.
Central Peninsula Hospital’s Healthy Lifestyles Program is
presenting
a special Dine and Discuss, February 22nd, with Joe
Piscatella called,
“Living Healthy in a Doubleburger.com World.” The Healthy
Lifestyles
program at Central Peninsula Hospital is designed to provide the
community with education, support and guidance in the areas of
weight
management and physical activity among other healthy lifestyle focus
areas.
Piscatella is a nationally recognized expert on lifestyle habits and
cardiovascular health. The author of 10 books, host of three PBS
television specials, a consultant to Fortune 500 companies and a
post-bypass surgery patient, his mix of science and practical
application is appreciated by communities nationwide. He is
frequently the highest-rated speaker at many corporations for his
witty, eloquent, layman’s language approach to complex health
topics. He uses humor and an upbeat presentation style to examine
healthy eating, effective exercise, stress management and provide a
lot of motivation!
Due to the expected turnout for this event, Dine and Discuss will be
moved from its normal location at Paradisos Restaurant, to the
Aurora Borealis Room at the Challenger
Learning Center. The time is from
6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on February 22nd.
Instead of the usual full meal and $10 fee, there will be light
refreshments, beverages and a minimal $5 charge.
