Lee
Jackson, Chief Nursing Officer at Central Peninsula General Hospital
since June 2003, announced his resignation on Thursday, April 27th
at the CPGH, Inc. board meeting.
“I have enjoyed my time at the hospital and wouldn’t have missed
this experience for anything. I’m proud of the collaborative work
that has been accomplished during my tenure,” said Jackson. “I’m
planning on taking the summer off to enjoy Alaska with family and
will be exploring new opportunities closer to our three
grandchildren in the northwest, he added.
“His years of experience in health care and his leadership and
vision to develop new programs highlighted in the Centers For
Medicare Demonstration (CMS) project and the collaborative efforts
with local health agencies and Cottonwood Health Centers have
brought needed services to our region.
He was also responsible for
the revitalization of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART/SANE
program) which sparked further regional collaboration. He can
count to his credit successful nursing contract negotiations
and a great JCAHO inspection,” said Debi Honer, CPGH V.P. of Human
Resources. “We wish him the best of luck.”
“In related news,
Inpatient Nursing Director, Gypsy Jolly, has been named the Interim
Chief Nursing Officer and CPGH Controller, Michael Haggerty has been
named as the Interim Chief Financial Officer replacing Ryan Smith
who was promoted to CEO. A search has begun to fill the Chief
Financial Officer and Chief Nursing Officer positions,” said Honer.
