Central Peninsula General Hospital is pleased to welcome
board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist Amy M. Dechet, MD. Dr.
Dechet is joining Peninsula Internal Medicine and will be with the
practice as a locums tenens physician through the end of June of
this year.

Dr. Dechet joining us”, said Dr. John Bramante, one of the
physicians at the practice. “Her references were overwhelmingly
positive, and enthusiastic. We feel very lucky to have her here on
the Peninsula.”
Dr.
Dechet graduated Magna cum laude from Williams College in 1993. She
earned her M.D. with honors from the University of Washington School
of Medicine in 1999 and in June 2002, completed her residency in
Primary Care Internal Medicine from the University of California San
Francisco.
Dr.
Dechet came to the Peninsula from Atlanta, Georgia where she worked
as an Epidemic Intelligence Services Officer for the National Center
for Infectious Diseases, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC) specializing in food borne-related disease outbreaks.
Additionally, she has provided medical care in several locations
overseas in Africa and Central America. In her spare time, Dr.
Dechet enjoys hiking, rock climbing, international travel and
cultural activities.
