Jason
Paret, Chief Financial Officer at Central Peninsula General Hospital
began his new job on Friday, July 21. Paret has more than 13 years
of experience in health care and hospital finance. Prior to
accepting his new position with CPGH, he served as the Interim Chief
Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial
Officer at Mr. San Rafael Hospital in Trinidad, Colorado from June
2004 and served as the Chief Financial Officer at Petersburg Medical
Center in Petersburg, Alaska from 1998 to 2004. Paret gained other
healthcare experience with McKesson Health Systems in Tacoma,
Washington and Salem Memorial Hospital in Salem, Oregon.
“My family and I are very excited to be back in Alaska,” said Paret.
“I’m looking forward to the completion of the hospital expansion and
what that will mean to recruitment and the development of new
programs and services for our area residents.”
Paret received his Master’s in Business
Administration from the University of Alaska this summer. He is a
member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the
National Rural Health Association. He also served as the Vice
President of Rotary International in Petersburg from July 2001-2003
and volunteered as a board member for Alaska Public Radio.
