Spiritual Care Services
At CPGH, our Chaplains are available to offer
hospitality and a caring spiritual presence as they
listen attentively to you or your family member’s
concerns, fears or questions, regarding your illness or
that of a loved one. They are available to contribute to
your healing process in many ways.
Respect for your spirituality, faith beliefs,
traditions, cultural backgrounds, and personal
experiences.
Confidentiality, respect for personal privacy, and a
high regard for your dignity.
Acceptance, regardless of whatever has caused you to
be in need of medical attention.
An invitation to utilize your own spiritual
resources to help you cope with your illness, loss,
end of life issues, or grief.
An invitation to share your health care experience,
including related emotions difficult to express to
others (e.g. anger, helplessness, fear).
Crisis support should you or a family member receive
unexpected medical news.
Information about religious and supportive services
within the community such as churches, counselors,
support groups, etc. which may be able to provide
ongoing support.
Prayer and Sacraments at your request.
An all faiths sanctuary
available for personal prayer and meditation in both
the Mountain Tower and River Pavilion.
How to Arrange a Visit
You may ask any CPGH staff person to assist you in
arranging an appointment with a Chaplain, or dial the
hospital operator at 714-4404. If you prefer, you may
call the Spiritual Care Coordinator’s office directly at
714-4610. Volunteer chaplains are on call 24 hours a
day.
Spiritual Care services at Central Peninsula General
Hospital are free of charge.
