In June 2000, Central
Peninsula General Hospital celebrated its 30th anniversary. The
hospital has been in operation since 1971.
When was the last time the hospital expanded?
The last major expansion was in 1986 when the Emergency
Department and a wing for the Family Recovery Center were added. In
1990 the hospital expanded to add a CT Scanner. In 1999 there was an
additional expansion for an MRI.
